Should I eat the Microgreen stems?

You bet! Absolutely! Believe it or not, the stems are where all the magic happens when it comes to flavor and nutrition in microgreens! While some fancy restaurants might snip off those stems for a picture-perfect plate, it's a bit of a secret that the stems are the real MVPs!

Why is it better to grow microgreens hydroponically?

There are a couple of reasons for this:

More Nutritious: With hydroponics, we have precise control over the nutrient solution, ensuring that the microgreens receive a consistent and balanced diet throughout their growth cycle. Our Hydroponic systems are fine-tuned to deliver nutrients directly to the plants' roots, ensuring that they (and you!) receive all the necessary nutrients.

Disease free plants: Hydroponic systems are typically cleaner and less prone to pests and diseases compared to soil-based methods. This reduces the need for pesticides and herbicides, making hydroponically grown microgreens a healthier choice.

Controlled Environment: Our systems enable us to maintain the ideal temperature, humidity, light, nutrition and water intake conditions that is required for the baby plants to thrive!

This is why hydroponics outperforms soil-based farming, resulting in higher quality, more delicious, and nutritionally superior greens.

How long do Microgreens stay fresh? Do I need to wash them?

Our Microgreens are always delivered fresh. Keep them refrigerated (NOT in the freezer) and they will stay fresh for 7-8 days. Do not leave them outside for more than 2 hours. When consuming them, remove only how much you need to consume and wash it. Leave the remaining greens in the fridge!

I thought I saw soil in some of the pictures! Do you use soil to grow them?

No, we do not use traditional soil to grow microgreens. Instead, we utilize a specialized growing medium known as low EC grade cocopeat. While they look similar, this medium provides an excellent alternative to soil, offering the necessary support for microgreen growth while maintaining a clean and controlled environment. Cocopeat is valued for its moisture retention and nutrient-holding properties, which contribute to the successful cultivation of microgreens while eliminating the disadvantages of soil

How many microgreens should I consume in a day?

Typically, one can consume a healthy mix of microgreens of upto 50g - 60g in a day! Apart from this, it depends from person to person. Eating a balanced diet is important

Are there any dietary restrictions to consider?

All our Microgreens are vegan, gluten free, 100% natural, pesticide free, GMO free and Keto Friendly. However, certain individuals may have allergies or medical conditions that restrict them from consuming a particular vegetable. It is important to note that microgreens are the same as their vegetables, so if there are any particular vegetables that somebody is restricted from consuming, they should consider their doctor before consuming that specific microgreen as well. For example, people with kidney stones or people who require blood thinners may be restricted from consuming protein rich microgreens or microgreens like kale.
